Hi, im having trouble with a 2007 Belingo Multispace 1.6 hdi concerning brake bleeding. I have replace both wheel cylinders and bled system. The pedal went away so i replaced the master cylinder. There is now a pedal but it has too much travel for my liking. If i let off and pump again then the pedal is good. I have carried out normal bleeding

It could be the crank sensor. I would start there. Without looking up these codes, this is my best estimate. The P2291 code is low cranking fuel pressure but could still be related to the crank sensor giving no signal. The ECU will shut off the fuel if the crank sensor stops sending a signal. Beyond that the fuel pressure sensor could be bad.
Re: berlingo 1.9d van wont start. by spider » Sun Aug 19, 2012 1:52 pm. Check for fuel as above, just undo one injector pipe (injector end) a half a turn or a turn at most. Pop a piece of rag around it. Crank the engine for a few seconds then go and see if the rag is wet with fuel or not. Andy.

When they went to replace that they found water pump leak so ended up having that replaced and new timing belt. Picked van up and after driving about 25 miles it stalled again and over the 40 or so miles it took to get home it again stalled twice. Each time took a bit of starting but it did eventually.
Following from lack of starting issues, im now trying to replace the starter motor. Have managed to remove the two from the back of the motor, but according to the manual, theres a third bolt. Anybody know how and where the thing is. Thanks. •
So the van will still bump I presume, but we have now an intermittent starting problem, the mechanic and I started it off the key 3-4 times, then it didn't start a couple of times then it started, I have used it most of the day with it once failing to start on 1st and 2nd try but then started, then early this evening it didn't start and refused
Berlingo 2.0 hdi models of this age with siemens injection are fitted with a 5ws40025 e-t ecu. The last 2 letters pertaining to the type of software fitted ive been told. Ive seen many for sale ending ct.ft.ht.gt and the like the et version being a bit scarce and only fitted to berlingo/partner models.
Ideally the proper Citroen diagnostic software, DiagBox, is ideal for properly diagnosing and testing systems on these cars, as standard OBD stuff is not much cop on a Citroen. Search DiagBox on YouTube to see more about it. Some indy garages will have it, or you can buy the kit online for about £50 if you're handy with a laptop and do it
