6- I started pcsx2, put the test1.ps2 with the .max save on it in memcard slot 1, boot gta san andreas and BAM, ALL of these saves that I am able to find on the internet are corrupted, no matter of the game version of GTA san andreas i used, no matter the pcsx2 version I used, no matter what save I used, every god damn game save are corrupted.
but there is a save editor software which can modify your GTA San Andreas saved progress data file it has repair save feature, use it and i am highly sure it will fix your issue because it fixed mine before, always back up your saves every now and then or even every month i hope you fix it soon :)

The order of the IPL flags is determined by the models\gta3.img file being used when the game is saved. This site cannot detect your IPL version for you. Saves will work regardless of which version of gta3.img you use, however there may be glitches, such as road barriers to other cities still appearing after they should have been removed.

I had the same problem with the icon disappearing, i just finished flight school mission and when you go inside the icon is there and it allowed me to manually save the game and didn’t disappear. That’s the point I’m at in the game (just about) and I can confirm what you just said is true. For some reason that works.

If you have a pc and enough money to spend on the game from steam (not rockstar launcher cos it's not as good as the Steam version) then get the game and download and install a save file from the last mission you did. If you mean downgrading your game, not a save, then I suggest doing re-applying silent patches and asi loaders again, just in case. If you mean downgrading your save, then if you've already downgraded your game and applied the patches then you should be free to go :) No need for re-applying scripts and ♥♥♥♥ like this, shoul work.
