I think every C5 has issues with the anti pollution fault and from what I can gather the main cure is a new HP fuel pump. The cost of this from citroen is £640 an absolute rip off. I currently have an issue with the car cutting out and stopping completely when this fault is displayed.

I have not had a reply from the chap I pm'd re the lexia check yet. I had to collect my other citroen after it had a sensodrive problem and asked the dealer whether the lexia 3 was the best for the diagnostics and he said that there are quite a few on ebay that will just as easily identify the codes and then allow me to reset.

26th Sep 2007, 14:32. I've had the dreaded coil cut-out on my 53 V6 3 litre, losing one cylinder in the rain. I pulled over and turned the engine off for 15 minutes to let the engine heat dry the coils – and then continued my journey – an anti-pollution fault was reported for about two weeks (no doubt while the unburned fuel contaminating the cats had burned off).

The mark 1 C5 2.0 hdi does not have eolys fluid and an exhaust particle filter (FAP) so any problems related to these can not apply in your case. Still search though under anti pollution faults but you probably still need to visit a Citroen dealer (or other) who has a Lexia diagnostic tool.
